Carol P. Minger, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday evening, May 12, 2016 at Harrisons Crossing Health Campus. She was born May 5, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to Paul Stephens and Anise Schroer Stephens. Her husband of 63 years, Bob R. Minger, preceded her in death on March 30, 2016.
Survivors include her three children, Chris Minger and his wife, Hajnal, of Ann Arbor, MI, Nancy Schopmeyer and her husband, Wayne, of Clay City, IN and Kirt Minger and his wife, Diane, of Midlothian, TX; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Jerry Stephens and his wife, Rosemary, of Bowling Green, IN; a sister, Norma Benson of Terre Haute; a sister-in-law, Ruth Minger of Terre Haute; and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was a graduate of Bowling Green High School. She made many friends selling Avon Products for 49 years and was a member of the Carpe Diem Club.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Monday, May 16, 2016 in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Ben Wetherington officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Monday from 10:00 A.M. 12:00 Noon in the funeral home. The family kindly requests memorial contributions may be made to a local food pantry or to Catholic Charities Food Bank, 1801 Poplar Street, Terre Haute, IN 47803.
