Carmelo Mandara, 65, of Terre Haute and formerly of Haledon, NJ, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 in T. H. Regional Hospital. He was born March 7, 1955 in Santa Croce Camerina, Sicily to Salvatore Mandara and Catherine Barr Mandara.
Survivors include his wife, Eiko Frances Lisowski Mandara; brother, Philip Mandara (Maria); sisters, Giovanna Mandara and Maria Mandara; sisters-in-law, Marie Crow and Emily Alexander (James); nieces, Catherine Mandara and Kelly Ewing (Greg); great nieces and nephews, Cruz Murphy, Abigail Ewing, Matthew Ewing, and Noah Ewing. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Clarence Crow; and niece, Stephanie Crow.
Carmelo was a licensed high pressure boiler repairman. He loved cars, racing, and his family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2021 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 th Street, with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for children.
