Carl W. Helman, 73, of Terre Haute passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 in his residence. He was born February 10, 1942 in Terre Haute to Henry Helman and Emma Magill Helman. Survivors include his wife, Carol Bartley Helman; daughter, Cynthie Wright and her husband Christopher of Terre Haute; son Chip Helman and his wife Lori of Indianapolis; brothers, Larry Helman and his wife Susan of Terre Haute and Jerry Helman and his wife Kathy of Marshall, IL; sister, Dawn Helman of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Patrick Wright, Lauren Wright, and Parker Buttery; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Carl was a loan officer for Terre Haute Savings Bank. He was formerly a realtor, Past President of the Terre Haute Board of Realtors, and member of the Elks. Private Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street with Pastor Bill Felts officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015.
