Bonnie Husband

Bonnie Husband, 93, of Terre Haute passed away Friday afternoon, July 7, 2023.  She had worked at the former Quaker Maid Food Processing Company for 31 years.  She was born July 31, 1929 in Sullivan County, IN to Ralph Gordon and Nellie Kaylor Gordon.  Bonnie married Billy L. Husband on October 26, 1947 and they were married for 66 years before his death in 2013.

Survivors include two nephews, Bryan Husband and Max Husband (Cyndi);  a niece, Nancy Neff;  three great-nephews, Travis Neff (Brittany), Shane Husband (Valerie) and Shawn Husband;  and a great-niece, Bri Husband.  Also surviving are great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Brayden Husband, Blaike Husband, Madden Husband, Blayze Husband, Killian Husband, Jameson Neff, Ainslee Husband and Brooklyn Puckett;  and many cousins.

Bonnie was born and raised in Hymera, IN and was a 1947 graduate of Hymera High School.  She attended Friendly Grove Baptist Church near Lewis, IN, was a 60+ year member of Terre Haute Chapter #43 OES, member of Kerman Grotto Revellettes and Greeters, and was a 40+ year survivor of breast cancer.  Bonnie enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with her family, reading the newspaper and enjoyed resident activities at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus.   She may have been Indiana University basketball’s BIGGEST FAN.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Dave Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Friendly Grove Cemetery near Lewis, IN.  Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 10:00 AM– 12:00 Noon in the funeral home.
