Billy Joe Harris

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Jo Mundell Harris, sons, William Joseph Harris and Steven Allen Harris; brothers, James Ivan Harris and his wife Linda, Thomas Anderson Harris, and Berry Allen Harris and his wife Jean; special grandson, Aidan Joseph Harris; and uncle, Joe Carter and his wife Mary Ann. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stephen Mack Harris; and special nephew, Keenan James Harris.
Billie Joe was a member of V.F.W. Post #972, and American Legion Post #104. He loved basketball, I.S.U., I.U. and the N.Y. Yankees. Billy Joe loved to make people laugh and be happy, he never met a stranger. He had a special relationship with folks at Cheddars Restaurant.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Marvin Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery with military rites by V.F.W. Post #972. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
