Billie Louise Patterson, 79, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday evening, August 15, 2019. She was born November 5, 1939 in Marlow, OK to Archie Chester Spence and Susie Catherine Long Spence.

Survivors include her children, Linda Patterson of Terre Haute, Diana Keener (Peter) of North Pole, Alaska, Ralph Patterson (Suzanne Reick) of Terre Haute and George Patterson, Jr. (Janine) of Terre Haute; two sisters, Lucille Dobbs and Yvonne Arney; and nine grandchildren, William Penaherrera, Jennifer Penaherrera, Michael Keener, Garrett Keener, Quinn Patterson, Jeremy Patterson, Alecia Patterson, Shauna Patterson and Davis Patterson. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

Billie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She continued her love for Christ throughout her life. In 1977, she attended Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas where she received a degree in Religious Education. She continued onto serving as a religious educational director for several years at First Southern Baptist Church of Terre Haute, where she was also a member of the church. She chose to dedicate her life to her family and Christ. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, loved country dancing and was a huge Oklahoma University (OU) football fan.

Billie served as a military spouse for more than 20 years, while married to Air Force active duty member George W. Patterson, Sr.. She dedicated her time and efforts to military members and their families while volunteering with family and support services.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Monday, August 19, 2019 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Jonathan LaFleur officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 5:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. Private burial will be in Elmore City Cemetery in Elmore City, OK.
