Betty Jane Ashley, 95, of Prairie Creek, IN passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018. She had worked at Quaker Maid, Inc. as a line worker and was also a nursing assistant. Betty was born October 21, 1922 in Terre Haute to Leo Weinstein Booth and Hazel Marie Norman Booth. Her husband, Carl T. Ashley, preceded her in death in 1999.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Talaber (Bill) of Sullivan, IN; her son, Tommie Ashley of Prairie Creek, IN; a brother, Robert Lee Booth (Judy) of Cincinnati, OH; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Victor T. and Shirley Ashley; a brother, John E. "Jack" Booth; a sister, Rosemary Virginia Pound; and a grandson, Carl E. Ashley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, September 7, 2018 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor David Boothe officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Friday from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
