Born November 10, 1923 in Terre Haute, IN. Barb was the daughter of the late Emil and Clara Luecke. Barb was a member of Saint Ann's parish and a member of the VFW #972 Ladies Auxiliary. She worked in a variety of settings and instilled her strong work ethic into her children. Barb had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family. She was candid and plain spoken, sometimes to her family's amazement. Barb enjoyed playing cards, going for long car rides, and was a gardening enthusiast. Barb was always doing home renovation projects even into her 90's. She was always generous with what little she had. Her unique Christmas gifts were the highlight of the Gosnell family Christmas celebrations.
She is survived by sons Steve (Debbie) Gosnell, John Gosnell, Leo McLaughlin, Ed (Kelly) Gosnell, and Daniel Barnes; grandchildren Cheryl Reeves, Andy (Laura) Reeves, JJ Gosnell, Jennifer (Julio) Alonzo, James (Danielle) Gosnell, Tim (Emily) Gosnell, Katelyn (Jared) Gosnell Richey, and Kinsey Gosnell; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her children Ronnie Gosnell, Marjorie (Jeannie) Reeves, Madonna Hatfield; brothers Robert, John, and Richard Luecke; sisters Rita Billiter and Kate McLaughlin; and step-sister Kathleen Bolin.
Private graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery with Father Dan Bedel officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan and Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
