Anthony R. "Tony" Drake, 69, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 29, 2017 in Union Hospital. He was a Production Operator for Tredegar, Inc. Tony was born October 16, 1947 in Terre Haute to Robert Drake and Mary Bruno Drake.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Carrol Ann Robinson Drake; three children, Robert Drake (Dawn) and Kathleen Pressley (Lanny) all of Terre Haute and Sarah Monce (Max) of Brazil, IN; his mother, Mary Strange of Terre Haute; and six grandchildren, RJ, Bela, Steven, Daniel, Jordan and Jonathan. Also surviving is his sister, Roberta Cordell (Gary) of Terre Haute; two brothers, Larry Drake (Pam) and Paul Drake (Nancy) all of Terre Haute; two brothers-in-law, Robert Robinson and Sam Robinson both of Farmersburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; his step-father, Raymond Strange; a brother, John Drake; a brother-in-law, George Robinson; and a sister-in-law, Mary Robinson.

Tony was a graduate of Schulte High School and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1967-1971. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and VFW Post #972. Tony enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and loved his dogs.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Martin Day, OFM Conv. officiating. Burial, with Military Honors provided by VFW Post #972, will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
