Anne Temple Lambert, resident of Friendship Village Bloomington (formerly of Edina) passed away peacefully of natural causes at the age of 90 on July 30, 2020. Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was born on February 8, 1930 to Willa and Richard Temple in Terre Haute, Indiana. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dennis, and her sister, Suzanne Temple Nierste of Indianapolis, Indiana. Survived by her two sons, Douglas (Anna Mae) of Edina and Scott (Valerie) of Cincinnati, OH, grandchildren Elizabeth (Dan) Sievers of Elm Grove, WI, Gregory (Mackensie) Lambert of St. Louis Park, Abigail Young (Doug), Dexter Lambert, and Stephanie Lambert all of Cincinnati, OH and great-grandchildren Emma and Maverick Young and Natalie Sievers.
Anne graduated with a B.A. in Art from Indiana State University Teachers College where she was a member of Gamma Gamma sorority and was instrumental in bringing the Delta Gamma sorority charter to Indiana State. One of her passions during college life was designing the costumes and sets for the famed Campus Review each year for her sorority. After their marriage, Anne and Dennis raised their two boys in Terre Haute until a career advancement with Bemis Company prompted a move to Minneapolis in 1970 where they settled in Edina. Another promotion in 1981 moved them again to Indiana until their retirement when they settled back in Edina. Over the years, they enjoyed the companionship of several miniature schnauzers including their last one Soffi. Anne was an avid collector of antique dolls from France and Germany, as well as vintage Christmas and Halloween decorations, and a member of several antique clubs. "Nanna" as she was known to all, treasured her family and put their well-being above and beyond everything else. The many lessons she taught us will be cherished always.
A private memorial service will be held later this fall in Terre Haute, Indiana. Memorials preferred to NC Little Hospice of Edina, MN or the Terre Haute Humane Society.
