ANNA P. THIEDE Anna P. Thiede, 83, of Terre Haute died early Thursday morning, May 9, 2013 in Springhill Village. She was a bookkeeper having retired from RJ Oil Company/ 500 Platolene. Anna was born February 11, 1930 in Pleasantville, Indiana to Nimrod Slaven and Pearl Kennedy Slaven. Her husband, James P. Thiede, preceded her in death in 1983. Survivors include her sons, John Thiede and his wife, Vicki, of Terre Haute and James Thiede also of Terre Haute; a brother, John Slaven and his wife, Janet, of Lafayette, Indiana; three granddaughters, Samantha Thiede, Stephanie Thiede and Nikki Thiede; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a half-brother, Harold Albert Slaven; and three half-sisters, Norma Deighton, Mildred Waldon and Nova Alene Gearing. Anna was a graduate of Martinsville (IN) High School and attended Indiana State Teachers College. She was a marvelous cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Park with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. There is no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
