Alice Gwendolyn Jones

Alice Gwendolyn Jones, 92, of Terre Haute passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Springhill Village. She was born August 13, 1920 in Albion, IL to Frank Earl Brown and Emma Marie Utley Brown. Alice worked in packaging at Quaker Maid and was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia J. Jones and her companion Paul Vannoni of Terre Haute; two sons, Robert E. Jones and Wallace E. Jones and his wife Cindy both of Terre Haute; and one grandson, Brian L. Jones of Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Wallace Z. Jones who passed away December 2, 1993; her parents; and two sisters, Jean Damer and Eythel Horton. Alice was very dedicated to her family. The family would like to say a special thank you to Springhill Village for their care. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with Reverend Kyle Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to services on Thursday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society, 1811 S. Fruitridge, Terre Haute, IN 47803.
