AARON RUTENBERG (10/2/1977-3/30/2019) died at the age of 41 in peace, surrounded by loving family and friends. A lifelong resident of Terre Haute, Indiana, Aaron graduated from Terre Haute South High School in 1995, and continued his education at Carpenters Local Union 133 attaining full journeyman rank, at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana with an associates degree in Construction, and at Golf Academy of America, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with an associates degree in Golf Operations and Management.
He was well-known for his pleasure in all things comedic, especially movies, having an uncanny ability to quote humorous dialogue endlessly, and to pepper his friendships with irreverent jocularity. Aaron was also an accomplished chef, adept at many styles of cuisine, and delighted in improving the menus of the restaurants where he worked as well as constantly inventing new ones.
He is mourned by his mother, Ann Trierweiler, father, Benet Rutenberg, sister Leah Rutenberg, and brother and sister-in-law, Coby and Debbie Perrelle, and their daughters Lauren and Emily, who all also grieve the recent death of their youngest daughter Jenna. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Aaron's niece Jenna's memorial scholarship fund at https://wvcf.com/funds/jennakayperrelle/. A celebration of Aaron's life will be held in Terre Haute over Memorial Day Weekend, details to be announced.
